All Saints Northampton Choirs

Details About the Event

The Choirs of All Saints Northampton are joined by young musicians from the Northamptonshire Music and Performing Arts Trust in a final concert to conclude their celebrations of Benjamin Britten, in a concert on the exact date 100 years after his birth. The Choirs will be performing Britten's remarkable Rejoice in the Lamb, Psalm 150, and his Hymn to St Cecilia. The treble voices of the boy and girl choristers also come together once again to perform Friday Afternoons, joining tens of thousands of people from across the UK to sing the song cycle. In addition, the concert sees the world premiere of a new choral commission from international composer Jonathan Dove, inspired by Rejoice in the Lamb. 22nd November at 7-9pm Tickets £7 (£5 concessions)
